Silicones, Inc. GI-1000 is a tin-catalyzed RTV-2 silicone rubber, which was designed for casting polyester parts. It has an extremely high tear strength.
GI-1000 will cure at room temperature over virtually any surface. It is easy to mix and de-air, and will cure with only a slight degree of shrinkage.
Condensation cure two-component silicone rubbers are excellent for most general mold making and prototype applications. They are excellent for casting waxes, gypsum, epoxies and other plastics. GI-1000 is extremely useful for those applications where superior mechanical properties are required.
The speed at which the rubber hardens can be accelerated with special activators.
**Please specify if you want White or Translucent Base and which color activator, Clear, Blue or Pink**
Standard Blue 1000 or
2020 Pink (for a longer library life):
2020 can be used in place of standard GI-Series activator to give improved library life(to increase the years the mold will last) to GI-Series bases. While standard tin catalyzed RTV-2 silicone rubbers slowly deteriorate as they age. 2020 can be used to markedly increase the library life of the silicone molds.
